Christian Bunke, Founder and Managing Director

1ea19ecPrior to founding Basck, Christian was part of a team building a large patent portfolio that was sold in 2010. He has an MBA from University of Cambridge and has built businesses and commercialized new technology through a number of start-ups. He has also run off-shore operations for some of the world’s leading IP businesses while at CPA Global. His experience stems from working as a patent attorney in Sweden with patent prosecution, litigation, IP strategy, and includes General Management of fund raising, business development and commercializing disruptive innovation. Christian holds a Mechanical engineering degree from University of South Australia.


Dr. Tim Norris, Partner

tim-norrisTim is the Managing Partner of Basck IPR and a qualified European Patent Attorney (EPA) with more than 15 years of experience in patent prosecution and IP strategy covering a range of technology areas.  He is an English national who has worked as a patent attorney in the UK, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.  He has his doctorate in microelectronics from the Cavendish Laboratories, University of Cambridge.  He has considerable experience in Semiconductors, ICT, Automotive, Renewable Energy Systems, and the Healthcare sectors. Tim is leading expert on Energy technologies including Thorium. Tim has an electrical and electronic engineering degree from University of London and a PhD for work in high-throughput semiconductor microfabrication processes from Univeristy of Cambridge.


Govind Kedia, VP Basck India

d922b4ef17fe65bb60_l_cd25aGovind heads up our New Delhi office with a team of patent attorneys, searchers and researchers. Govind has previously worked for CPA Global, one of the world’s largest IP support service companies, heading up a team of IP professionals and specialists. Through his work in the market of IP services he has lead and delivered major IP projects for some of the world’s leading multinationals. He has expertise in FMCG, Life Sciences, ICT, Patent landscapes, IP monetisation, and Technology standards. Govind also works with the innovation workshops for both local and overseas clients.


Dr. Marcelo Motta, Technical Advisor & Consultant

mer-220x220Marcelo works on projects involving IP scouting, open innovation and commercialisation of new technologies, with particular expertise in the areas of materials science and nanotechnology. Through his previous positions at Thomas Swan & Co and at different start-ups, he has been involved in developing technology businesses in the areas of electronics, clean energy, defence and aerospace industries. Previously he worked at the University of Cambridge as a post-doctoral researcher, including Cambridge-MIT and Chevening fellowships. Marcelo has a PhD in Materials Science (PUC-Rio/Lehigh University) and an executive MBA at London Business School.


Natalia Korek, Intellectual Property Strategy

3780499-2Natalia is a specialist Intellectual Property lawyer, able to provide advice and filing services to clients for Trade Marks, Patents and Design Rights. She can also advise on Copyright matters. Having previously worked with the Big 4 Consultancies, as well as taking part in a start-up journey herself, Natalia’s unique blend of experience allows her to understand a wide spectrum of businesses regardless of their size or stage of growth. Natalia specifically focuses on assisting clients to develop and manage their IP portfolio. This includes helping to build a sustainable strategy to maximise the value of their intangible assets, while working within set budgets and strict timelines. Outside of work, Natalia suffers from constant wanderlust so always keeps a full schedule of trips ahead.

Julia Fusi, Paralegal

ulia is part of the paralegal team in the UK. After graduating with an education degree, she gained worked within a small start-up company based in Greece. Julia has also spent time living in Italy and can speak the language to high level of proficiency. Julia assists in case management and handles customer communication. Outside of work Julia is an avid musician, playing the clarinet and piano, and enjoys the occasional city break. 



Aga Musial ,Innovation Consultant

Aga is a lawyer operating in Wroclaw, Poland. During studies and after graduation she has been gaining experience working for a Polish law firm in the field of corporate, consumer protection, IP and IT law. She is now training to become an European Patent Attorney. In her free time Aga is either travelling or planning new adventures.
