To accelerate sustainability and drive innovation, Basck announced today that they will fund 100 new patent applications for exceptional early stage sustainability-focused entrepreneurs.
The “100 Heroes to Carbon Zero (H2CZ)” is a startup programme designed for early stage entrepreneurs. FREE patent applications will be offered to up to 100 startups who have innovated in two areas of 17 Sustainable Development Goals, namely:
- No. 9 Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure;
- No. 13 Climate action.

The programme is aimed at the early stage entrepreneurs who might find themselves in a “catch 22” situation; looking for investments to protect their innovation but being unable to receive it because their product is not protected with intellectual property rights. The H2CZ programme looks to provide a solution to this problem and promote innovation.
