Dr Marcelo Motta lead projects involving Intellectual Property strategy, technology roadmaps and IP valuation at Basck. Dr Motta also mentors start-ups and scale-ups in accelerator programmes, including ad-hoc consulting for the European Innovation Council (EIC) on business and IP strategy. Previously, he worked as technology manager in the Chemical Industry and as an academic researcher at the University of Cambridge. Dr Motta is a European Patent attorney and an EU Trade Mark and Design attorney. He has a PhD in Materials Science and an Executive MBA, part of a Chevening fellowship programme led by London Business School.

She has since worked across the patent ecosystem - leading an offshore LPO IP team, designing patent analytics services for CPA Global, supporting IP-related M&A at Thomson Reuters, to her time at Marks & Clerk LLP. Before building an award-winning patent practice at Starbucks, she served as Associate Vice President of Patents at L Brands (parent of Victoria’s Secret, Pink, and Bath & Body Works). Bianca’s approach is rooted in science, strategy, and commercial impact.
